March 23, 2009 at 10:43 am
Has to be Eammon straight from the hip Dumphy. Clear, stright to the point no nonsence

March 24, 2009 at 3:12 pm
George Hook get my vote too, though there are plenty of good candidates.
March 24, 2009 at 7:38 pm
For years EAMON DUNPHY has left us bewildered after certain games. His ‘NO NONSENSE’ attitude is evident after every match and he never ceases to amaze me. His critical views of even the most well respected athletes gives us a totally different view and that is why he got my vote
March 24, 2009 at 11:54 pm
Roy Keane gets my vote…
March 25, 2009 at 12:15 am
Also Roy Keane.
March 25, 2009 at 11:39 am
He is an inspirational player who leads by example and definitely my no nonsense sports personality.
March 25, 2009 at 11:45 am
Gotta be the boy Paul O’Connell. Pure legend! Close between himself and BOD but for maxing out on the punishment handed out scale, he’s got to win. Roy Keane left his country in the lurch when we needed him, he desereves no plaudits!
March 25, 2009 at 11:51 am
My vote is for Declan Kidney – nothing but sense comes out of that mans mouth!
March 25, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Lot of good no nonsense folks there. If it were on a single interview, I think POC’s post-Grand Slam match has to be it. But I have to give my vote to Keane for a lifetime of no BS.
March 25, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Brian O’Driscoll is the man!
March 26, 2009 at 2:36 pm
Brian O’Driscoll FOR SURE
March 26, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Roy Keane – not afraid to call it as he sees it. He should be an inspiration for us all in times like these.
March 26, 2009 at 6:14 pm
It is refreshing to hear someone telling it the way it is. There are far too many people in the public eye who continually blame other people for their own mistakes.
March 26, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Ruby Walsh- got his father’s straight talking genes
March 26, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Padriag Harrington for me. His comments are always considered & very honest & he backs it up with achievement!
Keane only comments on things he doesn’t like…
BOD is a walking cliche in interviews…lets not get carried away with Grand Slam fever!!
March 26, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Roy Keane is an absolut legend. Thanks to his honesty he has made the Irish Team a real professional Team, and has set the standards for the players at Manchester United.
He’s a gifted man, an inspiration.

Declan Kidney – truely tells it like it is at present.
Even though we are 4th in the world he has kept the lads feet on the ground which can only be done by talking sense! Onward & upward under Kidney I think.
March 26, 2009 at 6:32 pm
Eamon Dunphy is a fool but always speaks his mind no matter how drunk he is on tv.
March 26, 2009 at 6:34 pm

He does and says what he thinks is right, and takes no prisoners or… no nonsense!
March 26, 2009 at 6:36 pm

March 26, 2009 at 6:59 pm

March 26, 2009 at 7:56 pm
roy keane!
March 26, 2009 at 7:57 pm
Drico…a real leader inpiring people from the front and showing by example that will power, self belief and team work can make dreams come true.
March 26, 2009 at 8:01 pm
It has to be Declan Kidney who took Ireland’s rivalling rugby factions and gelled them together to become Grand Slam champions. His no nonsense approach meant the team’s actions on the pitch spoke louder than the opposition’s words. Deccie Rocks!!!!!!!!1
March 26, 2009 at 8:39 pm
The Hooky monster all the way. His take on the recent France v England match, “The French haven’t performed like that since Hitler walked up the Champs Eleysees”. Genius.

How did Eamon Dunphy get nominated ????????????????
March 26, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Keano – Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Do you call you what you have a professional attitude (Captain Mick McCarthy to a young Roy Keane)? Reply – do you call what you have a first touch?!
You may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb (after getting a red card for trying to punch Alan Shearer)
He’s just brilliant. Go on Keano!
