One of the bigger choices in which insurance you should purchase is the cover you should purchase. The three basic options are
- Third party
- Third party fire and theft
- Comprehensive
While No Nonsense car insurance ensures you have all the necessary legal cover to get you on the road – and at the lowest cost possible – it may also be good for you to be informed of your options:
Third party cover:
This type of cover pays out for claims that other people make against you for injury or damage as a result of your driving. So it covers claims made by others for events such as
- personal injuries; and
- damage to property caused by your negligence or by the negligence of a passenger in your car.
Thirs party does not allow you to claim for:
- damage you have caused to your own car
- theft of your car
- loss of or damage to any item in your car.
Specifically for No Nonsense customers:
Third Party Cover will provide legal protection for the Insured Vehicle Driver should a claim be brought against him for personal injury or damage to property arising from a car accident.
Third party fire and theft cover:
This policy gives you the same benefits of third party cover, but will also allow you to claim for loss or damage to your own car as a result of fire or theft. As you might expect, this is a higher price (premium) than for third-party only.
Comprehensive cover:
This provides the same cover as third party, fire and theft plus provides cover for damage to your car, no matter who is to blame.
You can expect to pay a higher premium for the extra cover that comprehensive insurance provides, so it may be worth considering if you need the extra cost if your car is old or low in value.
No Nonsense additional covers:
No Nonsense also allows you to add optional additional covers, depending on your driving experience and the policy cover you select. When you purchase comprehensive cover, the following options are available:
- Windscreen cover
- Driving of other cars extension.
- No Claims bonus protection
- Personal accident and Medical expenses
- Personal property
- Car hire benefits
- Roadside and doorstep Car breakdown assistance
